pictures of schools that sent packages to our troops! Due to heightened security and safety concerns we are now asking that you please include your full name, your home address, and your phone number when requesting a units' address.
Emails requesting unit's addresses that do not provide complete info (name, address, number) will not be responded to. Please do not give the addresses out to third parties (for example, do not post the addresses in a public place, give out to people or ask catalog companies to mail catalogs to troops etc). Please remember to click links provided for mailing restrictions and to include the unit's name in the subject line. Please allow up to
2 weeks to hear back from
Noanie. NOTE!
Yahoo has been sending some valid emails to the BULK / spam
folder. We try to sort through it but sometimes good
emails get lost. If you don't hear back within 14 days,
please resend your email and change the subject line a bit
and include NOANIE in subject.
NEW! You can also email Noanie with your name, address, phone # and ask for "the unit that could use the most help" by clicking here. Some units get lots of requests while others don't so we have added this option. Thanks for showing your support!
Air
Force Reserves IN Afghanistan request support
Some of us
are here until October / November '08.. and some of us are
here until February / March 09. We work 6 on and 1 off...12
hour shifts. Our Tempo is extreme at times and it gets hard
to keep going. We work the flightline and keep the war
moving by getting the warfighters whatever they need -
that's really all I can say. It would mean a lot to all of
us whatever you'd like to send...but we have the following
requests: Baby Powder, hand Sanitizer, Plastic Soap Travel
Containers, Hand wipes, coffee/creamer, any of those instant
drink mixes (coolaid, crystal light, gatorade, etc), and
letters would be appreciated.

"irONSIDE
WARRIORS" PLATOON IN iraq request support
What we need in this environment are the following:
1. Some healthy snack foods for our soldiers because the food in the
Dining facilities or the MREs are anything but healthy.
2. Toilet articles especially shampoo, body wash, mouth wash etc. Our
soldiers in the outpost spend days without a shower and when they return
to the Forward Operation Base a shower means so much to all of them.
3. Our soldiers like to relax watching DVDs. They enjoy suspense,
mystery, educational and religious theme DVDs.
4. We call our platoon or unit "Ironside Warriors".
Thank you very much for your response and your willingness and generosity to support our troops.

help you have given others. I am a Chief Petty Officer
currently deployed to Northern Afghanistan on a (FOB) forward
operating base. I have about 85 soldier, airmen and
army with me in my platoon and we don't have very much in
the way home here. We have no creature comforts or

MARINES
FROM NORTH CAROLINA IN IRAQ REQUEST SUPPORT
I am a Staff Sergeant, United States Marine Corps. Our unit
is CLB-6 and we are based out of Camp Lejeune, North
Carolina. This is our second time out here in Iraq, after a
very short break from our previous deployment, almost feels
like we never left. I have a slightly different crew this
time, some were with me here 6 months ago, others were just
activated from the reserves and of course I have a handful
that just got out of school and have never been anywhere.
The Marines enjoy playing with their PSPs and Nintendo DS
when they have a chance. We also have a routine workout
program and many of us use supplements to help maintain our
conditioning and achieve our personal goals. Magazines and
motivational pictures are also nice to have here to help
take our minds off of work occasionally. I'd like to thank
you for setting up such wonderful program for all deployed
service members. In today's world it's nice to see that
there are still some people that at least care for those of
us that are doing our jobs honorably and not just focus on
the negative aspect of what is televised. I promise that
good things are happening here and we are all doing our part
regardless of age, gender or race to the fullest. Thank you
again!
